Ashwani Group win Corporate Cup T20 title


Patna, November 30, 2012: Ashwani Group of Companies won the Corporate Cup T20 cricket trophy mauling State Bank of India (SBI) by seven wickets at Moinul Haq Stadium, here on Wednesday.

SBI made 136 for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Ashwani Group hit up the required runs in 19.2 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Babul Kumar of Ashwani Group, who made 53 runs, was declared man of the match. Rajiv Prasad of SBI was declared man of the series. Sunil Kumar of SBI and Babul Kumar of Ashwani Group were adjudged best bowler and best batsman respectively.


Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Dr Sukhda Pandey gave away the prizes.
Bihar Players Association president Mirtunjay Tiwari, Throwball Association of Bihar secretary Niraj Kumar Pappu, Abhishek Ranjan and Ashwani Singh were present in the prize-distribution function.

SBI: 136 for four wickets in 20 overs (Keshav-32, Rajiv Prasad-32, Sunil Kumar-16, Tarun Kumar-19 not out, Md Rafi-1/12, Shashi Bhushan-1/24).
Ashwani Group: 140 for three wickets in 19.2 overs (Rakesh Sinha-42, Babul Kumar-53, Rajesh Rana-26 not out, Sunil Kumar-2/30, Keshav-1/19)
