Adamya Vikrant faces Vaibhav Kumar in final

Patna, October 28, 2010: Adamya Vikrant will take on Vaibhav Kumar in the boys’ U-16 singles final of the AITA ranking tennis tournament at Patliputra Courts here.

In the semifinals, Adamya Vikrant of Bihar bounced back to beat his state mate Ishank Ravi 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 while Vaibhav Kumar of Bihar too struggled to down Pradumn Buddhiraja of Uttar Pradesh 6-0, 6-7, 6-3.

In the U-14 boys’ singles final Shree Krishna will take on Pradumn Buddhiraja of Uttar Pradesh.

Results: Boy’s U-14 semifinals: Shree Krishna (Bih) bt Sanoj Kumar (Bih) 6-4, 6-4, Pradumn Buddhiraja (UP) bt Anshumat Shrivastava (Bih) 4-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Girls’ U-16 quarterfinals: Yogita Kumari (UP) bt Namitha (Bihar) 6-2, 6-2, Shweta Kumari Ojha (AP) bt Shweta Kumari (Bih) 6-0, 6-0, Madhu Jaiswal (Bih) bt Fatima Packer (Bih) 6-3, 6-0, Sivana Zadi (UP) bt Shwetangi Sah (Bih) 6-2, 6-0.

Boys U-16 quarterfinals: Adamya Vikrant (Bih) and Venkat Siddharth (Bih) bt Shekhar Raj Shrivastava (UP) & Abhilash Nair (UP) 6-1, 6-2, Ishank Ravi & Vaibhav Kumar bt Adarsh Anand (Bih) & Ramyak Singh (Bih) 6-0, 6-4.

Boys’ U-14 doubles quarterfinals: Pradumn Buddhiraj (UP) and Ritwik Bhriguvanshi (Bihar) bt Mridul Khrakwal (UP) & Upamanyu Sinha (Guj) 7-6, 7-6. Madhav S. Singhal (Guj) and Raj Shekhar Shrivastav (UP) bt Adveya Sharma (Bih) and Ankit Anand (Bih) 6-3, 6-4, Shree Krishna and Sanoj Kumar bt Adarsh Anand and Ramyak Singh 6-4, 6-3.
