Patna, Auhust 7, 2010: Dilip Kumar Gauda and Neha Singh cornered glory winning the individual championship titles in men and women sections respectively at the 33rd Bihar state senior swimming championship at the Bankipore Club swimming pool here on Saturday.
About 129 swimmers from various districts of Bihar participated in the championships.
Earlier, Major Manjeet Singh Sarla inaugurated the championship. Dr Sanjeev Kumar, director, Magadh Hospital and Nikesh Prasad, secretary, Bankipore Club, jointly distributed the prizes. Ram Bilas Pandey, secretary, Bihar swimming Association, welcomed the guests.
Important results:
200-m freestyle: Dilip Kumar (gold); 200m freestyle women: Ritika Raj Singh (gold); 1500-m freestyle: Sailesh Kumar (gold); 200-m breaststroke: Vinod Kumar (gold); 400-m freestyle: Dilip Kumar (gold); 100-m backstroke women: Neha Singh (gold).
