Minki, Smita, Pammi share lead in Bihar state women chess championships


Patna, August 13, 2010: Three players Minki Sinha, Smita Kumari and Pammi Rani won their third round matches to take joint lead with three points each at the end of third round in Bihar State women chess championships at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Friday.

In the Bihar state U-19 boys’ chess championships at the same venue, Rishi Shankar, Abhishek Sonu and Nilesh Shankar emerged joint leaders with three points each after the end of as many round.

Results:Women (after third round): Minki Sinha (3) bt Shristi Gautam (2); Pammi Rani (3) bt Jyoti Singh (2); Smita Kumari (3) bt Saraswati Kumari (2); Komolika (2) drew with Amrita Choudhary (2); Pallavi (2.5) bt Aditi Arya (1); Sandhya Srivastava (20 bt Nibha Ranjan (1); Soumya (2) bt Nirmala Srivsatava (1); Priya Rani (2) bt Vibha Sinha (1); Priyanka Kumari (2) bt Smita Choudhary (1); Bharti Kumari (1) bt Ritu Meha (0); Maya Diptam (1) bt Sheetal Kumari (0) and Mona Priya (1) bt Sinki Mehta (0).
