Acharya Sudarshan Sports and Cultural Foundation formed

Patna, August 12, 2010: With an aim to promoting sports and culture, Acharya Sudarshan Sports and Cultural Foundation has been formed at Patna Central School here on Thursday.

The foundation will provide sports infrastructure and basic facilities to budding talents of Bihar in different games.

Acharya Sudarshan Ji Maharaj, who has been named patron-in-chief of the body, said the foundation had adopted throwball, tennikoit, chess, kho-kho, athletics, volleyball, basketball and swimming.

Patna Central School vice-chairman BK Sudarshan said the foundation would also promote cultural activities of Bihar.

Office-bearers: SB Prasad (patron), SP Singh (president), Neeraj Kumar Pappu (secretary), Dr Sudhir Kumar (joint secretary), Ajit Kumar Singh, Rakesh Ranjan, Shivesh Ranjan, R Kumatr, Raju Mishra, Ajay Upadhyay, Rina Singh and Nitu (all members), DN Sinha, Shailesh Kumar and Abhishek Kumar (all advisory committee members).
