Amongst his few initial tweets, Gambhir expressed his anguish
over Delhi rape
and the resultant death of the victim. Gambhir tweeted that new rape
legislation should be named after the victim who passed away in Singapore on
Saturday. He also said in one of his tweets that he wasn’t surprised that the
US & UK authorities are
reviewing their travel advisories to New
Delhi .
He later on urged his fans to keep their faith intact in
Team India ,
“Guys, have faith in us, the Indian team. Hopefully, it is a new year, a new
start and we will turn it around…Godwilling,” was his tweet. Gambhir’s earlier
twitter account @gambhirgauti which had over 4 lakh followers is now
non-functional.
