Patna, December 5, 2011: Bihar boys thrashed Bengal 12-0 in a round-robin league match of the East Zone sub-junior hockey championships at Bihar Regimental Centre ground here on Monday.
In the other boys section match, Odisha blanked Manipur 10-0.
In girls’ category, Odsiha mauled Bengal 10-0 while Bihar edged past Manipur 4-0.
With this wins, Bihar and Odisha both virtually qualified to play boys and girls final.
In Bengal vs Bihar match of the boys section, Anup Minz and Manual Herenge scored hat-tricks.
Priti struck twice in the first half to take Bihar to 2-0 lead against Manipur. Baby Rani and Madhu Kumar increased the margin in the second half by scoring one goal each (4-0).
