


Patna, October 8, 2010: It was a day of Devpriya Jaiswal of Bihar in the AITA ranking tournament at the Patliputra tennis court here on Friday. The Patna boy won a grand double claiming the boys’ U-16 singles and doubles titles.
Devpriya clinched the boys’ under-16 singles title defeating Siddharth Vishwakarma of Uttar Pradesh 7-6, 6-4. Later Devpriya and Adamya Vikrant beat Uttar Pradesh pair of Amaritanjay Kumar and Abhishek Kumar 6-0, 6-3 in the doubles final.
Shree Krishna of Bihar won the boys’under-12 singles title beating Parikshit Somani of Assam 6-2, 6-3. Jharkhand’s pair of Suchi Smita Pani and Smriti Prakash annexed the girls’ under-18 doubles title defeating Ritika Ranjan and Shwetangi Shah of Bihar 6-4, 6-4 in the final.
