give a tough time to the opponents.
Speaking on the preparations of the team, Roelant Oltmans,
Director High Performance and Chief Coach Indian Men Team, Hockey India said,
“Our overall preparation is going good at the moment. We have a very good line
up and we are trying different combinations. We have 11 months to go for the
Olympics so we can try a mix of players who can produce the best results for
us. The boys are enjoying the way they are playing and delivering and with this
confidence we can expect good results from this team in the forthcoming
tournaments. We are working on not being predictable with our game which helps
in throwing the surprise element on the opponents. We are working on long ball
possession, defence and counter attacks with different set of players.’’
Speaking on the teams preparation, Midfielder Manpreet Singh
said, “Roelant Oltmans has been with our team for quite some time now. All the
team players know him well. We are working on our lapses especially in our
defence and our counter attacking moves. The preparation is going smooth. We
have some games competition planned ahead of Olympics which will definitely
benefit our preparation”.
