Speaking on their match against Kalinga Lancers, Jamie
Dwyer, Captain of Jaypee Punjab Warriors said “We are very disappointed
with the way we lost to Delhi
in our first game. The match against Mumbai was a much better game and the team
played a well coordinated game. We are looking forward for our next game
against Kalinga Lancers and are fully prepared to use our strength to fight and
win against them. While the team is new we are not taking them lightly and
hence will not lose focus during our game with them.”
Speaking on the team Barry Dancer, Coach, Jaypee Punjab
Warriors said, “The team is geared up to meet the challenge of Kalinga Lancers.
We know we will be playing on their home ground and in a city which is known
for its love for hockey hence the crowd support will be huge for them. Except
for few areas, I think the boys played well against Dabur Mumbai Magicians. We
need to keep this momentum going and improve ourselves with every game in the
tournament."
