Jaypee Warriors looking at Kalinga Lancers for a win

Bhubaneswar, January 27, 2014: Post a big win against Dabur Mumbai Magicians, team Japyee Punjab Warriors is high on spirit and motivation and is looking at taking on Kalinga Lancers in the latter’s home ground. While Jaypee Punjab Warriors will be looking at carrying on their winning momentum it is yet to be seen how they will tackle a completely new team and a new ground. While the first two matches by the team was played in front of their home crowd, the team this time will be playing away from home and in front of a completely new audience.

Speaking on their match against Kalinga Lancers, Jamie Dwyer, Captain of Jaypee Punjab Warriors said “We are very disappointed with the way we lost to Delhi in our first game. The match against Mumbai was a much better game and the team played a well coordinated game. We are looking forward for our next game against Kalinga Lancers and are fully prepared to use our strength to fight and win against them. While the team is new we are not taking them lightly and hence will not lose focus during our game with them.”

Speaking on the team Barry Dancer, Coach, Jaypee Punjab Warriors said, “The team is geared up to meet the challenge of Kalinga Lancers. We know we will be playing on their home ground and in a city which is known for its love for hockey hence the crowd support will be huge for them. Except for few areas, I think the boys played well against Dabur Mumbai Magicians. We need to keep this momentum going and improve ourselves with every game in the tournament."
