48 probables selected for hockey camp

New Delhi, July 2, 2013: In preparations for the 9th Men’s Asia Cup to be held at Ipoh, Malaysia from August 24 to September 1, 2013, the training camp of the senior men core probables will be conducted at SAI Centre, Bangalore from July 16 to August 16.  

Hockey India selectors BP Govinda, Savitri Purty, chief coach Michael Nobbs and scientific advisor Jason Konrath along with Government observer Harbinder Singh selected the 48 senior men core probables for the preparatory camp of the Asia Cup starting from July 16, 2013.

India is placed Pool B with Korea, Bangladesh and Oman while Pakistan, Malaysia, Japan and Chinese-Taipei are in Pool A. The 9th Asia Cup is also the qualification tournament for the FIH Men’s World Cup 2014 to be played in The Hague, The Netherlands from May 31 to June 15, 2014.
