The Cadet boys squad, comprising Sudhanshu Grover, Abhishek
and Vivek Bhargav, blanked out Thailand
3-0, to make it to the next stage. Grover defeated T Padasak in straight sets
and Yadav put India
in the driver's seat by winning his match against Poungsri Max 3-0 and later
Bhargav defeated J Sataporn 3-1 to book their quarterfinal place.
Similarly, the junior girls team consisting of Manika Batra,
Mallika Bhandarkar and Reeth Rishya defeated Kazakhstan 3-0, while the Cadet
girls team, comprising Karnam Spoorthy, Suthirtha Mukherjee and Sumanna Saha,
followed suit winning by the same margin against the Kazakh girls.
Meanwhile, the junior boys team of Utkarsh Gupta, Berdi Boro
and Lalren Puia too moved into the next stage, according to the reports.
