PATNA: Patna Science College women team won two consecutive
matches in the inter-college kabaddi tournament of the Patna University
Centenary Celebrations sports championships to lead the table here on Friday.
Patna Women’s College and Magadh Mahila College were on second spot winning one
match each.
Vanijya Mahavidya were at the bottom of the table as they
failed to win a single match till now.
Patna Science College beat Patna Women’s College 49-32 and
Magadh Mahila College 32-20.
Patna Women’s College beat Vanijya Mahavidyalaya 50-11
and Magadh Mahila College defeated Vanijya Mahavidyalaya 28-9.
Now, Patna Women’s College will take on Magadh Mahila
College in first semifinal while Patna Science College will face Vanijya
Mahavidyalaya in the second semifinal.
In the men’s kabaddi event, BN College were leading the
table with two wins in their credit. Patna College and Patna Science College
were at joint second place with one win each. BN College beat Patna College
37-21 and Patna Training College 52-40. Patna Science College beat Patna
Training College 26-18 and Patna College beat Vanijya Mahavidyalaya 41-20 .
In soccer event, Patna Science College beat Vanijya
Mahavidyalaya 1-0. Suraj Kumar netted the match-winner in the 48th
minute.
