In the women’s
team event, defending champions Gujarat led by
Divya Gohil won their first round match with great comfort and élan. Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh also won their opening
matches.
However, hosts Bihar men crashed out of the team event losing their consecutive
two matches in pool C on the opening day.In their opening
match, Bihar suffered 0-3 defeat against Madhya Pradesh while in their second
match Tamli Nadu got the better of Bihar 3-1.

the tournament.
