International Sports Journalists' Day celebrated in Patna

Patna, July 2, 2010: Sports Journalists’ Association of Bihar (SJAB) took out an awareness rally to celebrate International Sports Journalists’ Day here on Friday.

The walk led by SJAB president Deepak Pandey and its secretary Pradeep Modak, began from Kargil Chowk and ended at the Moinul Haq Stadium covering a distance of 4-km.

All sports journalists of the Patna print media participated in the march for creating awareness about the role of sports journalists in society.

They carried a banner describing ‘play sports, make future’. CEO of Star India Construction Private Limited Niraj Kumar Pappu flagged off the march at Kargil Chowk. At the Moinul Haq Stadium, office-bearers of the different sports organizations received the journalists.
