Dabang Mumbai eye to climb up the Pool Table

Lucknow, February 14, 2015: Continuing its efforts to move up the points table in the ongoing Hero Hockey India League 2015, Dabang Mumbai gears up to clash with Uttar Pradesh Wizards at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in Lucknow, tomorrow.

Currently, standing tall with 25 points and comfortably placed at the third position in the league, the Uttar Pradesh Wizards defeated Dabang Mumbai by 5-1 when the two teams met at Mumbai’s home turf. While the Wizards will be looking at climbing up the ladder and bettering their performance so that they can continue their form in the knock out stage, Dabang Mumbai will be striving to win the match and showcasing the strength of the team.

Uttar Pradesh Wizards tomorrow will aim to go all out and put pressure on the Mumbai outfit. With Ramandeep Singh in top form this year the team's attack strengthened and with Raghunath converting the penalty corners, the team is all set for tomorrow'smatch.

On the other hand, having lost to Kalinga Lancers yesterday, Dabang Mumbai will be looking at coming back strong as a unit and win tomorrow's match. They will aim at getting thier coordination right on the field and get the all important penalty corners. All eyes will be set on the young talent Harmanpreet Singh whose scintillating performance is expected to aid his side with a much treasured piece of play.

Speaking before the match against Dabang Mumbai, Head Coach Roelant Oltmans of Uttar Pradesh Wizards said, “I am happy to see the team’s performance in the League so far and the fact that the boys understand the importance of winningtomorrow’s match against Dabang Mumbai as well. This will be the second time we face Dabang Mumbai in the League this year and just like the results in the previous match, we look forward to deliver similar results in tomorrow’s match as well and enter the semi-finals.”

Speaking on tomorrow's match, Glenn Turner, Dabang Mumbai said "The team will play for a win tomorrow. We are confident as a unit and we will not repeat the same mistakes. We will put pressure on them by playing an attacking game and try to get the penalty corners".
