Preparatory camp of the junior men hockey core probables begins in Delhi

New Delhi, September 13, 2014: The preparatory camp of the junior men hockey core probables began at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi from today. The camp is in preparation for the 4th Sultan of Johor Cup, scheduled in Johor Bahru, Malaysia from October 10-20, 2014 and FIH Junior Men World Cup 2016.

India being the defending champions of the tournament will yet again look at continuing their dominance this year too. Playing against teams including Australia, Great Britain, Malaysia, New Zealand and Pakistan, the Indian team will leave no stone unturned and will aim at bagging the title yet again.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Narinder Batra, Secretary General, Hockey India said, “The preparatory camp will be much tougher this time around for the men as they will have to live up to the title of being the Champions of Sultan of Johor Cup. The boys are looking forward to representing the country.”

The camp will continue till October 9..
