Patna, April 18, 2010: Saurav Kumar of Patna Central School (PCS) captured the sub-junior boys’ singles title of the NMIT inter-school table tennis tournament beating Amit Kumar of Holy Mission School 11-8, 11-4, 11-6 at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute here onSunday.
Shubhra of St Karen’s School won the cadet girls’ singles title beating Anjali (St Karen’s School) 16-14, 13-11, 11-9. Ayush Adarsh won the cadet boys’ singles title defeating Aditya Umang 11-7, 11-8, 3-11, 11-9.
In junior boys’ section, Rahul Kumar, Rahul Prakash, Ankit Kumar and Piyush D Gandhi entered the semi-finals.
Results: Junior boys singles (quarter-finals); Rahul Kumar bt Amit Kumar, Rahul Prakash bt Saurav Kumar, Ankit Kumar bt Shubham 11-4, 11-8, 11-9 and Piyush D Gandhi bt Tushar Kanti Das 11-6, 11-5, 11-7.
