Patna , May 5, 2010: Bhojpur moved into the final of the Shyamal Sinha memorial under-16
inter-district cricket tournament through spin of coin as their semi-final match against Begusarai ended in a tie at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Wednesday.
Bhojpur will face Siwan in the final.
Electing to bat first, Begusarai scored 189 for eight wickets off 30 overs. Mehraj Alam top scored with 61 runs. Saif Ali and Ram Kumar made 22 and 29 runs respectively. Prashant and A Husain both claimed three wickets each.
In reply, Bhojpur made 189 all out off 28.3 overs. Saurav Kumar (44) and Santosh Kumar (24) came good with the bat. Mehraj Alam took five wickets for 22 runs.
In the second semi-final at Bihta, Siwan beat Jehanabad by four wickets.Batting first, Jehanabad made 142 all out in 29.3 overs.
In reply, Siwan raced to the target in 27.2 overs for six wickets.
