Patna, October 13, 2009:
Bihar State Carrom Association (BSCA) in association with Patna District Carrom Association will organize the 19th Bihar State and Inter-District carrom championshipsfrom October 19 to 21 at Post and Telegraph Recreation Club here.
Giving this information, BSCA secretary Bharat Bhushan said that about 300 players (including men and women) would take part in the meet which is being sponsored by Punjab Technical University.
He said Munger, Katihar, Purniia, Araria, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Chapra, East and West Champaran, Rohtas, Bhagalpur, Buxar, Begusarai, Jamui, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Nalanda, Saharsa, Gaya, Sitamarhi, Seohar and Patna had confirmed their participation. Besides this, five institutional teams would also participate in the tournament, he added.
Bhushan said an organising committee under the chief patronship of Pankaj Kumar (regional head, Punjab Technical University) had been formed. The other members of the committee are; Shyam Nandan Sharma (patron), Ravi P Sinha (president), Bharat Bhushan and Badri Prasad Yadav (both vice-presidents), Ramashish Singh (organising secretary) and Dr Sanjay Srivastava (convenor).
